Today’s inspiration is a wedding for all the book worms out there, who are passionate about reading and want a suitably themed wedding. It’s easy to mix up a bit of vintage in this – think old romantic novels and cloth bound library’s. There are also a surprising number of decorations you can make out of actual pages of old books (and eco-friendly too).
I seriously HEART everything made by Etsy seller Bookity.
And how about spending some time collecting vintage and old fashioned romantic or favourite novels to give each guest as a sweet favour to take home and read – you could even use this as a decorative feature by piling them up high and adding some flowers.
Choose a wedding dress to carry the look through completely… think big ballgown “Gone With The Wind” styles, and Victorian elegance like Jane Eyre.
Think outside the box on venues – universities and hotels with a library or dark wood paneled room will do perfectly. For your colour scheme go for either soft pastels (peach, lilac, duck egg blue) or deep jewel tones (red, purple, gold) to contrast – keep everything classic and elegant.
Invites could be printed as bookmarks, tables named after favourite novels and the table number the book itself!
